Tasting Notes:
Aroma opens with abundant ripe fruit and rose florals; intense but cheerful. The palate is juicy with hints of grapefruit and sun warmed peaches. Generous oak phenolics support a shapely core that lingers through the finish.
Winemaking Notes:
Handpicked on the 2nd of March.
Vinification & Elevage: Fermented in both French oak (15% new) and stainless steel. Fruit is sourced from the northern part of the Yarra Valley of Dixons Creek and the Tarrawarra areas. 8 months on yeast lees to develop texture, palate weight and more complex characters.
Viticultural Notes:
Optimal conditions for flowering and fruitset in the vineyards gave well balanced yield with plenty of promise leading into the 2019 harvest. A dry January and February followed, culminating in a relatively compressed vintage, though attention to detail in the vineyards gave winemakers wonderfully balanced fruit with concentration of flavour and exceptional natural acidity.
