This Chardonnay leaps from the glass! A crackle of fireworks, flint, grilled white nuts, and spice from oak; white peach, white nectarine and vanilla pod. It has dried white flowers and fresh pastry, and with time comes Tahitian lime and a pinch of icing sugar.
The palate follows a similar flavour profile to the aromas; stone fruits, lime, river pebble, spices, white nuts, bakery pastries. The spread of flavour across the palate is nourishing, the wine has swagger yet is very precise, long, and leaves a glowing impression of a winning combo of variety, sub-region and season.
Vinification & Elevage: The fruit was whole-bunch pressed into French oak barriques (25% new) for primary and malolactic fermentation on the lees. It aged in oak for 9 months before racking and blending for bottling, with a total production of 200 dozen.

“An intriguing and complex bouquet of stone fruits, fresh honey, quince paste and subtle oak spice. The palate is chalky-textured, structured and long. It’s balanced enough to drink now and will only get better over the next five to seven years.
