This Pinot shows aromas of wild forest berries, red plum, cardamom, pomegranate, dried cranberries and blueberry. There is plenty of florals here with sage from the whole bunches and a distinct mineral ‘earthy’ tone underlying.
The palate is buoyant with blue fruits, plum, dried herbs, pumice-like tannins and a cleansing acidity. The flavours reveal more and more layers with time open.
Hand-picked on the 26th of February.
Vinification & Elevage: The fruit was partially destemmed and fermented as whole berries, with 50% of the fruit in whole clusters. It remained on skins for 3 weeks before being pressed into French oak (20% new) for malolactic conversion. Aged in oak on lees for 10 months before bottling, with a total production of 200 dozen.

… A light, bright crimson. More lifted and perfumed than the ’23. Aromas of red fruits, delicate rose and gentle spice. The palate is brightly fruited and fine boned, with crunchy tannins making for a delicious wine to drink over the next decade.
