A very expressive nose of blue fruits, dried purple florals, currants, hot cross buns, fresh liquorice and black olive. The aromas really ‘pop’ – 2024 was such a great Yarra Cabernet vintage!
The palate shows a heap of red cherry and black currant fruit together with spiced raspberry. There is a vibrant pulse of acidity that lifts the fruit on its bed of graphite tannin. The savoury undertones of pencil box and nori roll match perfectly to the vibrant fruits. This will be a long-lived Isabella Cabernet!

This is a dark and concentrated wine, but it also has plenty of perfume. Blackcurrant, boysenberry, chocolate, some exotic spice, and a subtle olive leaf note. It’s medium-bodied, dense in flavour, a fine dusty and gravelly grip to tannin, balanced acidity, with a redcurrant and rosy finish of excellent length. Excellent now, likely better later.
