“… A very bright magenta. Redolent of blackcurrants and blackberries with violets, pencil block shavings and a soupçon of liquorice root. Concentrated with firm yet noble cabernet tannins. Very persistent. A class act.”
- Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion

Tasting Notes:
Scents of red cherries, roses, fresh leather, dried herbs (sage and thyme), cigar box and cassis. On the palate there's a nice mix of red and dark fruits; red cherry, red plums. Notes of cacao with a mixture of various spices. The tannins show a plushness and allow for the lively fruits to flow long and linger nicely. It's a sign of a bright future for this wine.
Winemaking Notes:
Hand-picked on the 4th of April
Vinification & Elevage: Fruit parcels were fermented using both whole berry and crushed fruit. Fermented in large open top wooden vessels on skins for 18 days. Pressed to French oak barriques (30% new) for malolactic conversion, in oak for 10 months. 250 dozen produced.
