Tasting Notes:
Fruit appears first with aromas of red cherry, spiced red plum, before moving into earthy notes of dried leaves and a hint of wet clay. The palate is medium bodied showing a mix of savoury tones featuring cherry fruit and gentle pinot tannin. This should pair well with a variety of dishes being a versatile little pinot.
Winemaking Notes:
Fruit is fully destemmed as 100% whole berries. Fermented on skins for 2 weeks. The wine is then pressed to oak for maturation prior to bottling.
Viticultural Notes:
Fruit is sourced from two Yarra Valley vineyards; one in Gruyere, the other in Dixons Creek Both vineyards feature the Pinot Noir clone MV6 in this blend.
