Rochford Estate Chardonnay 2023

RRP: $38.00
Tasting Notes: Super expressive nose of orchard fruit, orange blossoms, cedar spiced oak and croissant pastry notes. The palate is buoyant with white stone fruit, nectarine and white peach, there's spiced green apple and some lively juicy acid. The fine phenolics give depth and showcase the quality of this wine's wonderful vineyard sources.
Winemaking Notes: Picked between the 19th and 23rd of February
Vinification & Elevage: Fruit was crushed and pressed to French oak (10% new) and a ceramic egg for primary ferrmentation on lees with partial malolactic fermentation. In oak for 9 months before racking and blending for bottling.
Viticultural Notes: 2023 was a vintage where a wet spring provided challenges, yet through hard work and perseverance we enjoyed a mild and kind harvest period that has produced wines of vibrancy and finesse.
