The fruit runs lush and full, with bright acidity and savoury, grippy tannins, and the finish turning almost steely, amaro-like. Built for lamb! Beautifully structured and savoury through the finish - a cabernet franc of class.”

Tasting Notes:
Aromas of red licorice, raspberry seed, dark cherries, roses and plenty of old vine swagger.
The palate is all about the fruits: cherries, dark forest berries, cacao and a real velvety feel. It spreads nicely across the palate and extends with some rocky tannin and fresh acidity. A great vintage for a house favourite!
Winemaking Notes:
Vinification & Elevage: The fruit was fully destemmed as whole berries, with a short cold soak before fermentation and 14 days on skins. The wine was then pressed into French oak barriques for malolactic conversion, where it remained on lees in oak for 10 months.

Cabernet Franc clone 210.
Sourced from 40+ year old vines on blocks 2 & 4 from Hill Road Vineyard, Coldstream.
