Viticultural Notes: The Heathcote wine region in Victoria is renowned as one of Australia's premier regions for Syrah. Located north of the Great Dividing Range, Heathcote is 90 minutes north of Melbourne with an altitude of around 200 metres. Heathcote's ancient Cambrian soils are deep red coloured and mottled with lime which imparts low vigour to the vines. This wine is made from fruit sourced from the northern end of Heathcote.
