“…A glowing, light cherry red. Brightly fruited and bursting with red cherry and raspberries. An attractive touch of whole-bunch derived spice, too. The palate is flavour packed and juicy. Delicious now and over the next three to five years. "Pinot for the people" according to winemaker Kaspar Hermann. I agree.”
- Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion

Tasting Notes: An enticing nose of rose petal, wild strawberry, red plums and some earthy notes with a little rosemary in the background. The palate is reminiscent of our estate pinot but this year we see a little extra energy. 2023 was a low yielding year and a cool season so fruits are truly in the red berry spectrum: strawberry, just ripe raspberry and cranberry. The wine has some swagger with a burr of mineral-stoney tannin and customary forest floor nuances.
Winemaking Notes: Vinification & Elevage: Fruit was partially destemmed and fermented as whole berries, with 10% as whole bunches. On skins for 14 days the pressed to oak (10% new) for malolactic fermentation on lees. In oak for 10 months before racking prior to bottling.
Viticultural Notes: The fruit for this Pinot Noir of 7 clones comes from four vineyards in Gruyere, Coldstream, Seville and Woori Yallock.
